What is KYC?

KYC is the abbreviation for "Know Your Customer". This refers to a process for validating the identity of an individual using government-issued identity documents (like identity card, passeport, driving licence, etc.). Identity verification can be mandatory in some regulated domains, and is typically required when you want to open a new bank account.

How does the identity process work ?

You can request an identity verification manually or using our HubSpot integration for any contact. Our application sends an email to the contact's address inviting him/her to follow a link to proceed through the identity validation process. Under the hood, we are using the Veriff API, which will ask the user to take a selfie and of one accepted government issued document. Once the verification engine finishes analysing the documents, the outcome will be synchronized with your CRM, and will also be directly visible on our application.

What types of documents are accepted ?

ID Check accepts over 10,000 document types from over 200 countries to verify the identity of an individual. This includes passport, driver's licence, ID card, and residency permits.

Is the identity check done by a human ?

According to the plan you choose, the verifications are done either fully automatically using AI or with a hybrid solution, also based on AI but with a human review when there is a doubt about the result of the check.

What are the third party tool supported through integrations ?

At the moment, ID Check offer native support for the HubSpot CRM which you can easily connect with the application and start verifying your contact's identity directly through the CRM. We plan on offering more integrations according to our customer needs, for example the PipeDrive CRM. In the future, our application API will allow connecting to any third party tool.

Do you offer technical support for implementing the solution?

Of course! Our team will be delighted to support you, and we'll be happy to help you implement the solution if your system requires implementation via an API or a specific connection.

Does the application expose data and functionality through an API?

ID Check is modern software with an API to retrieve data and run identity checks. Feel free to consult the API documentation in your customer area to find out more.

Can I set up webhooks to react to application events?

Our application allows you to create one or more endpoints or webhooks to listen for events such as the success or failure of a check, and thus react in your own application/system.
